Outreach, Workshops, and Consultation
University Counseling Services staff is available by telephone or by walk-in appointment to offer consultation to students, staff, and faculty to discuss students who are experiencing difficulties. Our staff is also available to provide workshops and presentations to the campus community during the academic year at no charge.

Requesting a Workshop or Presentation
When requesting a workshop or presentation, we are asking for your assistance in helping us provide quality programs by giving us at least two weeks' notice. To request a program, or for specific questions concerning outreach, please contact our office at (804) 828-6200.
Safe Zone is a 2-hour training workshop offered to faculty, staff, and students of the VCU Community.
Campus Connect is an evidence-based suicide prevention gatekeeper training for college and university students, faculty, and staff.
UCS hosts a variety of events, workshops, training and support groups throughout the year designed to raise awareness and build community around mental health issues, as well as substance use recovery and support for survivors of sexual violence.
