Outreach, Workshops, and Consultation

University Counseling Services staff is available by telephone or by walk-in appointment to offer consultation to students, staff, and faculty to discuss students who are experiencing difficulties. Our staff is also available to provide workshops and presentations to the campus community during the academic year at no charge.

Topics that UCS staff often present to the campus community include:

  • Understanding Depression
  • Body Image and Disordered Eating Concerns
  • LGBTQIA+ Issues and Safe Zone
  • Relationship Concerns

Requesting a Workshop or Presentation

When requesting a workshop or presentation, we are asking for your assistance in helping us provide quality programs by giving us at least two weeks' notice. To request a program, or for specific questions concerning outreach, please contact our office at (804) 828-6200.

Safe Zone is a 2-hour training workshop offered to faculty, staff, and students of the VCU Community.
